Garth Brooks announces new music, tour.
Garth Brooks said at a press conference he is coming out of retirement with a new double CD
probably in November and a world-wide tour.
New music will be out within two months.
Brooks is going to release his disc through Sony Music Nashville.

 

A Keith Urban hologram has been unveiled in Sydney.
The computer-generated likeness of the singer performed in the city's Pitt Street Mall this week, and fans were able to interact with it and even have their own jam session with the 46-year-old star.
The hologram - which was created using the same technology that saw a virtual Michael Jackson perform at the Grammy awards earlier this year - kicked off the day by addressing the crowd. Virtual Keith said: ''Thank you, thank you. Alright I'm going to play for you first, and then a little bit later we'll try something very cool." He then performed his new single, before fans were given the chance to ''chill or rock'' with him, with the audience given a choice of instruments including guitar, harmonica, tambourine or drums.
The Keith Urban experience was part of a partnership between the musician and ANZ bank to promote their latest app Grow by ANZ.



Jake Owen scored the number 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country chart for the week ending July 19 with the summer-themed "Beachin'."
Owen took over the number one spot from Miranda Lambert, whose duet with Carrie Underwood, "Somethin' Bad," fell to sixth.
Miranda Lambert, however, led the albums chart with "Platinum."

 

The 20 remaining contestants on ABC's Rising Star begin competing against each other in "The Duels" starting Sunday night.
The contestants will be paired off for back-to-back performances.
Whichever contestant of the pair gets the higher percentage of votes will stay on the show while the other contestant goes home

Brooks coming out of retirement to tour, release new CD.
Garth Brooks reportedly has more than one piece of good news for his fans.
According to Billboard, the country superstar is set to announce a new album in addition to his expected world tour at a press conference set for Today.
Sources report that Brooks has signed a new deal with Sony to release a new full-length studio album, followed by a "massive" tour.
The singer has been rumored to be cutting new tracks in Nashville over the past week.
Brooks is reportedly going to kick off his tour in the US this fall, and will be keeping ticket prices as low as $60 – $80 in an effort to draw as many people to the shows as possible.

 

Miranda Lambert is launching her Platinum tour later this month, and she needs your help for her performance of "All Kinds of Kinds."
Miranda is asking fans to take a photo of themselves with a white sign declaring their "kind."
For example, Miranda has posted a photograph of herself holding a sign declaring herself to be the "Platinum kind."

Florida Georgia Line's brand-new single, "Dirt," finds the duo taking a step back from the party anthems that shot them to fame to deliver a sentimental, straight-ahead country song. The lyrics speak to the whole of life from falling in love to welcoming a child to saying goodbye to a loved one.
"Dirt" is the lead single from Florida Georgia Line's upcoming album, which will feature more of the duo's classic, rocking sound.
Look for Florida Georgia Line's sophomore album to come out this fall.



Rascal Flatts has canceled their Thursday night concert in Oklahoma City, OK due to an illness affecting lead singer Gary LeVox's voice.
In a post at RascalFlatts.com, the band says, "We appreciate your understanding and continued support."
They've posted refund information on their website as well.
Rascal Flatts' Rewind tour is expected to continue Friday night in Austin, TX.

Garth Brooks: Concerts Canceled.
All five Garth Brooks concerts scheduled for Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland have been canceled.
The shows' promoter, Aiken Promotions, made the announcement on their website.
Dublin city council only approved licenses for three concerts, which meant two of the shows had to be canceled.
Garth, however, refused to disappoint any of the 400,000 fans who purchased tickets, and the promoter says they "have exhausted all avenues regarding the staging of this event." So all of the shows have been called off.
The ticket return process will be announced Wednesday.
Garth is set to make another major announcement Thursday at noon ET on GarthBrooks.com.

 

Florida Georgia Line has launched the Dirt Campaign to help build homes with Habitat for Humanity.
FGL hopes to raise $100,000 for the campaign through the fundraising platform Omaze.
"We have been beyond blessed these past few years, putting down our own roots in Nashville," says Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard.
"After hearing 'Dirt' we knew that we wanted to help build houses with people who would not be able to on their own and we are grateful to join Habitat for Humanity in their efforts."
Fans can donate to the cause at Omaze.com/FGL while entering to win a trip for two on the duo's This Is How We Cruise trip this November.
The winners will get a four-day cruise including a private performance from Florida Georgia Line.


 
Keith Urban will debut his new single, "Somewhere in My Car," on ABC's Good Morning America Friday.
The performance gives fans a preview of Keith's Raise 'Em Up tour, launching on July 17 in Calgary.
Jerrod Niemann and Brett Eldredge join him on the bill.
Keith's summer tour will hit 21 cities before wrapping up September 13 at the Washington State Fair.



 

Charlie Worsham will perform at the CMA Songwriters Series show Wednesday, July 30 at Joe's Bar in Chicago.


Country legend John Anderson will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame
October 5 in recognition of his self-penned hits "Seminole Wind" and "Swingin'" among others.


Darius Rucker is working on a Christmas record to be released later this year.

Florida Georgia Line New Song "Dirt".
Florida Georgia Line released a new single, "Dirt," today.
The song, which clocks in at 3:37, is the first single from the duo's second studio disc, although no release has been set.
Florida Georgia Line - Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley - has its first five single reach the top five, starting with "Cruise" in 2012. The song has sales of almost 6.9 million. "Stay" and "This Is How We Roll" also hit number one. "Round Here" was third last year, while "Get Your Shine On" reached number one.

Garth Brooks will hold a press conference this Thursday at 12 p.m. ET.
Garth has said he is launching a world tour in 2014, and he's apparently recording new music according to several songwriters and publishers in Nashville.

Dierks Bentley's "Riser Bird Movement".
Orange bird cutouts in the shape of Dierks Bentley's Riser logo were spotted on several Nashville lawns Sunday night.
The "flockings" are part of Dierks' "Riser Bird Movement" to announce his ninth annual Miles & Music for Kids event September 28 in Nashville.
Fans can "follow the flock" by following Dierks' social media accounts and searching #riser and #flockit.

All proceeds from the Riser Bird Movement go to the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Parmalee's new video for "Close Your Eyes" is now airing exclusively at Vevo.
It's the follow-up to the band's debut hit, "Carolina."
Lead singer Matt Thomas says, "It's all about that first kiss.
I think everybody remembers where they were with that special girl or guy and they went in for that first kiss."
Both tracks are available on Parmalee's debut album, Feels Like Carolina.
Parmalee will be opening for Jake Owen Friday, July 18th at the Porter County Fair.




 

Taylor Swift has broken yet another record.
The singer's global Red Tour, which wrapped up last month in Asia, grossed more than $150 million,
beating the record by a country artist previously held by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's Soul2Soul tour, which brought in $141 million in 2006 and 2007.
Swift's Red Tour kicked off in March 2013 in Nebraska, and crossed North America for six months before heading to Australia and New Zealand at the end of last year.
After a short break, the songstress began the new year with shows in London and Berlin, then kicked off her Asian trek on May 30.
Taylor is currently spending some time off the road, working on a new album.

Florida Georgia Line's debut album, Here's to the Good Times, has been certified double platinum for sales of two million copies.
