In California, a rare goose was found in Los Angeles, six thousand miles away from the bird’s natural habitat. Wildlife officials say the Tundra Bean Goose was hanging around a park on the city’s south side. The bird is native to Siberia. The same bird was also reportedly spotted months ago about an hour to the north in Lancaster, California. The goose was transported to a wildlife care center where doctors discovered the bird had been shot with a BB, and there was a healed bone fracture. It is very rare for one of these goose species to venture into the lower 48 states. There have only been a dozen recorded sightings.
