In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, officials at Adams County SPCA say their shelter is empty for the first time in nearly 50 years. Managers posted on Facebook late last week that the staff has worked very hard over December to make sure all their animals got adopted to good homes. The facility says it adopted out just under 600 animals this year and reunited 125 strays with their families. The shelter says it’ll help take in animals from other area shelters this week to help alleviate some of the stress on their facilities.
