In downstate Bloomington, Indiana, a celebration is being held this weekend, Saturday February 3 and Sunday February 4, 2024, to remember a cat who has helped animals around the world. “Remembering Lil Bub” was originally scheduled for March 2020 and had to be postponed due to the pandemic. Lil Bub, who passed away in December 2019 at the age of eight, was born with a variety of health conditions her website says and remained kitten-like, her tongue hanging out from her smiling face, and she became widely known online, with two-million followers on Instagram. The rescheduled memorial event nearly four years later presented by Lil Bub’s family will be a major fundraiser for Lil BUB’s Big Fund for Special Needs Pets and will feature a variety of guest speakers, music, and more at the historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington, Lil Bub’s hometown. Tickets are available here through the theater’s website .
