In Lake County, part of State Road 51 just a little north of U.S. 30 in Hobart will be closed through mid-July 2024 for a bridge replacement project over Deep River. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says State Road 51 between Ainsworth Road and 62nd Place will be closed for about four months starting on or after Monday, March 11, 2024; the official detour will follow U.S. 6, I-94, I-65 and U.S. 30.
