In Florida, sea turtle nesting season is getting underway. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says beachgoers can do their part to help protect turtles by giving them space, keeping beaches clear of any obstacles, holes, and trash, and turning off lights. Sea turtles start nesting in March along the southeast coast and return to Gulf Coast and north Florida beaches in April or May.
