The Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County will offer a Reuse Fair at the 2024 Northwest Indiana Earth Day Celebration. The Earth Day event will take place at the Porter County Expo Center on April 20, 2024. Promote “reuse”, the district said, “and keep items out of the landfill by donating to organizations in need. The Reuse Fair connects participating non-profit organizations and schools that request supplies with community members who have items they no longer want. Donations will be divided amongst benefitting organizations based on wish lists.” Donations will only be collected at the Porter County Expo Center, April 20, 2024, 9am-11:30am CT and must be clean and in good condition, the district said. There’s a wide variety of items on the lists, including blankets and dog/cat beds, art supplies, gardening supplies, bird feeders, and much more. Visit PorterCountyRecycling.org/Earth-Day to see the wish list for each organization and for additional details on the 2024 Northwest Indiana Earth Day Celebration.
