‘Meet Me at the Marsh’ Event to Get Input on Restoration Effort

In Gary, the community is invited to provide input on a new effort to restore Hatcher Park and Marshalltown Marsh. Audubon Great Lakes and a coalition of project partners are hosting a free, family-friendly event— “Meet Me at the Marsh”— to talk about proposed improvements, including expanded wildlife habitat. The event at Hatcher Park on East 21st Avenue in Gary is Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 5 pm to 7 pm,and will include a guided bird walk and free native plants for attendees to take home.
