Northwest Indiana Continues to Experience Dry Conditions

In northwest Indiana, many areas of the Region could use some rain. The latest U.S. Drought Monitor continued to show most of Lake, Porter and LaPorte counties in the Moderate Drought category and even expanding a little in the southernmost portions of each county. The northwest corner of the state is either Abnormally Dry or in Moderate Drought according to the map, released each Thursday, and similar conditions also persist across northeast Illinois.
