In the Gary-Hobart-Lake Station area, Interstate 65 bridge work between Ridge Road and Interstate 94 is moving to phase three. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says there will be overnight lane closures July 7-8, 2025, to set up new traffic configurations that will be in place through late July. Construction is scheduled to be ongoing through mid-October 2025. Bridge deck overlay preventative maintenance projects are underway in three spots — over 35th Avenue, over the ramp from I-65 to westbound I-94, and over the Chicago, Fort Wayne and Eastern Railroad.
