Localized Flooding in La Porte County in Weekend Storms

In northwest Indiana, there was a flash flood warning issued for northern La Porte County over the weekend with localized areas of heavy rain. The weather warning early Saturday evening July 19 2025 included La Porte, Westville, and Fish Lake. The National Weather Service Northern Indiana says localized flooding of three to four inches of heavy rain was reported in some locations of their coverage area. Just over four-and-a-half inches was reported a couple miles south southeast of Otis in Laporte County near Westville, and near La Porte, the weather service says there was video on Facebook showing water estimated to be about 6 to 8 inches deep.
