Porter County Household Hazardous Waste Weekday Collection Event

In Valparaiso, the Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County will host a weekday household hazardous waste collection. The event for Porter County residents will be at the Porter County Expo Center on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 9am to 2pm CST; enter at Gate 3. The district says common household hazardous waste items include anti-freeze, motor oil, batteries -household & automotive, fluorescent bulbs, paints, deck stains, and household smoke detectors.
