Safety Preparedness Exercise at Michigan City High School

In Michigan City, Michigan City Area Schools says a full-scale safety preparedness exercise is scheduled for Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, at Michigan City High School. The school district said the planned exercise is being conducted in partnership with the National Center for Integrated Emergency Response Training and local emergency responders, and the drill will allow staff and first responders to practice and strengthen emergency procedures together. Emergency vehicles and first responders will be on campus and area residents may hear sirens or see practice activity during the planned drill, the announcement said. The drill is occurring during Fall Break.
