Update to Valparaiso Compost Site Hours

Daylight Saving Time ends the first Sunday of November, and sunset will be about an hour earlier after the clocks fall back one hour at 2 am Sunday November 2, 2025. The Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County says starting Monday November 3, 2025, the hours at its Valparaiso Compost Site are being adjusted to 8am-4pm Monday-Saturday; current hours are Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm. The Portage and Boone Grove compost sites will keep their regular Monday thru Saturday 8am to 4pm hours, until winter hours begin in December, the district said.
