In Crown Point, Powers Health and Northwest Cancer Centers recently hosted a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of the Cancer Care Center on Broadway, just south of 101st Avenue. The two healthcare organizations say they partnered on the project to provide Region residents a multitude of services under one roof for convenient and efficient access to oncology care. The 71,000-square-foot facility opened its doors to patients Monday, November 17, 2025. The facility offers advanced testing and diagnostic services, clinical trials, a healing garden with walking paths, as well as oncology prescription dispensing, integrative medicine, and more. “This project is an example of the possibilities that exist when innovation intersects with collaboration,” said Donald P. Fesko, President and CEO of Powers Health. “Northwest Indiana residents will benefit from having convenient access to personalized cancer treatment just minutes from home. Powers Health occupies the first floor, and Northwest Cancer Centers occupies the second floor. The third floor is shared space. “Northwest Cancer Centers and Powers Health have a shared vision to deliver vital treatment and compassionate care to patients who are facing cancer,” said Mohamad Kassar, MD, President and CEO of Northwest Cancer Centers.
