Indiana Governor Mike Braun has announced a San Diego-based company focused on sleep, breathing, and care delivered in the home, plans to establish its first U.S. Midwest operation in the Hoosier state, adding over 100 new jobs. A news release said Resmed will invest $30 million to build out a 446-thousand-square-foot facility in downstate Greenwood just south of Indianapolis to support the distribution of products that treat disorders like sleep apnea and COPD. Resmed is a leading provider of digital health technologies and cloud-connected medical devices supporting sleep health, breathing health, and out-of-hospital healthcare management solutions.
“Indiana’s life sciences sector continues to attract new global and innovative leaders to the state,” said Governor Braun. “Here in the crossroads of the U.S., Resmed will be centrally located and have access to robust infrastructure, helping the company serve customers more quickly and deliver life-changing solutions.”
The new warehouse and distribution center will join locations in California and Georgia, enabling the company to improve its two-day transit coverage across North America from 75% to 90% and shorten delivery times to Canada by one full day. The company plans to begin operations in Indiana in 2027. Resmed will hire for a broad range of skills, including high-skilled technicians and will invest heavily in employee training to ensure product quality and proper handling of sensitive medical equipment, officials said.
“We’re proud to expand our distribution network in Greenwood as part of Resmed’s continued commitment to U.S. manufacturing and logistics,” said Shane Azzi, chief supply chain officer at Resmed. “Indiana’s and Greenwood’s strong talent base and spirit of collaboration played a major role in our decision to locate here. The new center will strengthen Resmed’s ability to serve providers and patients while also supporting long-term growth in the region.”
