In Porter County, Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department says it has been notified that Meridian Road will be closed between U.S. 6 and County Road 900 North for five months beginning Monday March 2, 2026. Motorists are reminded to remain aware of detour routes and allow for additional time for travel during the temporary closure. The Porter County Highway Department says Porter County Stormwater will be closing Meridian Road between U.S. 6 and 900 North for small structure replacement.
