Purdue Extension Porter County Master Gardener Hotline

Porter County residents with gardening questions can get answers directly from local Master Gardeners thanks to the Garden Helpline. Purdue Extension Master Gardeners will be at the Porter County Extension Office working the Helpline on Mondays and Wednesdays starting April 20, 2026, from 9 AM to 11 AM. You can feel free to call in your questions at 219-465-3555 or you can drop by the office with a photo. They’re located at the Porter County Government Center, Suite 301, Indiana Avenue in downtown Valparaiso. You can submit by email questions as well to portermghotline@gmail.com with a number for them to reach out to you with. It’s a free service offered to all residents of Porter County. Purdue Extension Master Gardeners have handled hundreds of questions every year at various Extension Master Gardener booths in the county, such as Northwest Indiana Earth Day – which this year is happening Saturday April 18, 2026, at the Porter County Expo Center in Valparaiso.
