In Valparaiso, Powers Health says it is expanding its St. Mary Medical Center Outpatient Center off State Road 49 to meet the community’s needs. The two-phase project is estimated to be completed in about two years – and will include expanded Outpatient Therapy Services, Orthopedic physician offices and Audiology, and space for primary and specialty physician offices. The project includes renovations on the first and second floor of the current building for Cardiology Services expansion and Neurodiagnostics Services on the third floor.
“This will be our third expansion on the Valparaiso campus within five years,” said Janice Ryba, CEO of St. Mary Medical Center. “This location remains a vital link in our ability to build healthier communities and offer convenient access to comprehensive outpatient services, as well as access to primary care and multiple physician practice specialties.”
In 2021, 20,455 square feet of space was added with the addition of a third floor to provide Pain Management and Gastroenterology Services. Three years later, Powers Health opened a 24/7 full service Emergency Department within an 8,000-square foot expansion to provide Pain Management Services and Gastroenterology Services at the facility.
