In Jasper County, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says State Road 49 will be closed south of Wheatfield for about three months. The closure on State Road 49 is south of State Road 10, between County Roads 1100 North and 1000 North beginning on or after Thursday, May 8, 2025. The closure will be in place through late July for a bridge replacement project at Wolf Creek, and motorists should seek alternate routes, INDOT said. The official detour will follow State Road 10, U.S. 231 and State Road 14.
