In Valparaiso, the MAAC Foundation First Responder Training Campus, in partnership with Northwest Health, announces the graduation of 18 new Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) students. The graduation ceremony will take place on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 6 PM CST at the MAAC Foundation First Responders Training Campus. EMTs play a critical role in emergency response, requiring a calm demeanor, swift decision making, and expert knowledge of medical procedures, the MAAC Foundation said, adding that the graduates have successfully completed a rigorous training program that included classroom instruction, hands-on simulations, and real-life emergency scenarios, and through it all, have exemplified commitment, resilience, and compassion. “These graduates have shown incredible dedication and heart throughout their training,” said Celina Weatherwax, President of the MAAC Foundation. “Their passion for service and eagerness to learn will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the communities they serve. We are immensely proud to welcome them into the field of emergency medical services.” For more information about the MAAC Foundation and how to help make a safer community as a first responder or community member, visit www.maacfoundation.org to learn about its services or to volunteer.
