In Valparaiso, Valpo Parks held a ribbon cutting for its newest park facility, the ValPlayso PicklePlex – and attendees were encouraged to “bring their paddles and be ready to hit the courts immediately afterwards,” the announcement said. The six new courts, part of the department’s ongoing rePLAY initiative, are designed to expand pickleball opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels and are located at ValPlayso Park on East Glendale Boulevard. “We are excited to officially open the ValPlayso PicklePlex,” said Kevin Nuppnau, Valpo Parks Director, in a news release. “This facility is a direct response to the growing enthusiasm for pickleball in our community and reflects our commitment to providing diverse, high-quality recreational spaces. We believe these new courts will quickly become a favorite destination for residents and visitors alike.” Here’s a link to the Valpo Parks website for more details on the new PicklePlex.
