In Valparaiso, the Porter County Health Department will host its Inaugural Community Baby Shower. The department says the first-of-its-kind event will provide expecting parents and families with valuable resources, education, and giveaways. Hosted by the Porter County Health Department in partnership with the Porter County Community Foundation, First Things First Porter County, and HealthLinc, along with other local healthcare providers and community organizations, the event is Friday, October 17, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Porter County Community Foundation Building on Calumet Avenue in Valparaiso.
