In Jasper and White counties, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says all lanes of southbound Interstate 65 will be closed for a time Wednesday night October 29, 2025. A news release from INDOT says starting around 10 pm, crews will close southbound I-65 between U.S. 24 and U.S. 231 near Remington to remove a digital message board over the roadway. It will be replaced at a later date. The work is weather dependent; it’s expected to take a couple of hours and drivers are encouraged to seek an alternate route. The official detour around the closure will follow U.S. 24 to U.S. 231 back to I-65.
