The Recycling and Waste Reduction District of Porter County (“District”) says it has funding available to inspire non-profit organizations, schools, libraries, civic organizations, clubs, and businesses operating within Porter County to implement innovative solid waste reduction, reuse, or recycling programs.
Proposals may include, but are not limited to:
• New or expanding recycling programs
• Environmental education programs
• Waste-related public outreach initiatives
• Recycled-content purchasing initiatives
The District’s Citizens Advisory Board CAC will accept grants through July 1st, 2026. Grants will be awarded in January 2027. The District said eligibility is limited to those listed above.
