Forty-nine READI 2.0 Arts & Culture grants were recently awarded across Indiana. The Indiana Office of Commerce says they represent a first-of-its-kind statewide investment recognizing arts and culture as powerful drivers of community and economic growth. A news release says funds will support an expansion of the Brook Iroquois Washington Public Library in Newton County, efforts to transform the Miller Beach Arts & Creative District in Gary, the creation of an arts venue along South Bend’s riverfront, and investments in the Freight Street District in Elkhart. Gov. Braun honored grant recipients at a celebration Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in Indianapolis.
“Indiana’s regions are collaborating like never before to create strategic, data-driven plans to further their communities and support their residents,” said Gov. Braun. “These READI 2.0 Arts & Culture projects will bring to life new venues and destinations to drive economic growth, attract visitors, support local communities and power the creative workforce pipeline. Today, we celebrate Indiana’s regions and the leaders who are advancing quality of place and the arts and culture sector through READI.” Here’s a link to read more and see the full list.
