The Indiana Department of Transportation says State Road 8 is scheduled to be closed between La Crosse and Knox for about three weeks starting on or after Wednesday September 2, 2026. The closure on State Road 8 between C.R. 400 W and State Road 39 is for a bridge deck overlay preventive maintenance project. Motorists should seek alternate routes. The official detour will follow U.S. 421, U.S. 30 and State Road 39.
