In Lake County, Hy-Vee in a news release said, “The helpful smile of a local Strack & Van Til employee is now featured on the side of a semi-trailer to recognize the exemplary level of service she provides.” The company says Carrie Todd’s picture was unveiled during a celebration at the Cedar Lake Strack & Van Til this month October 2, 2026. Todd, the benefit and payroll supervisor at the Strack & Van Til corporate office, is a 2025 recipient of the Hy-Vee Legendary Customer Service Award, which recognizes exemplary achievement in providing service that exceeds customers’ expectations. The company says it first started featuring long-serving employees on semi-truck wraps in 1997 and it has since become a cherished tradition. Strack & Van Til is owned by Hy-Vee, an Iowa-based supermarket chain.
