In Hawaii, officials say an injured hiker was rescued from a trail after other hikers reported a barking dog alone and on a steep mountain slope about two hours from the trailhead. The Honolulu Fire Department got a call Monday afternoon of a missing hiker. Crews started searching by air and on foot; her dog was airlifted to a landing zone. Fire crews were able to determine the 35-year-old missing woman’s car was parked at the trailhead and after locating her she was airlifted and taken to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.
